I am but I'll be honest I haven't looked into it too much. I'm just so fed up of the other two and think they should have a chance.

Is there anything in their manifesto that sticks out for you and makes you vote for them?

I'm not interested in views of people voting lab/con thanks.

They've also said they'd repeal and re-write the Digital Economy Bill - which really really shouldn't have gone through in the rush that it did when so many people were opposed to it.

May be also worth reading here as the two threads seem to cover same topic...

MountTheFairy · 16/04/2010 20:42

So many reasons, but very quickly what pops into my head:

  1. I trust Vince Cable more on the economy than the other two.
  1. Nick Clegg (and Vince Cable on the above point) have a lot more specific proposals how to deal with problems rather than a general political rhetoric which was obvious in the debate last night.
  1. Iraq.
  1. Fairer parental leave
  1. Scrapping of tuition fees.

Nick Clegg has the hottest wife. Wait, no, that's what my DH said. Scrap that.

In this constituency, primarily to keep out the Tories. Electoral reform would remove the need for this farcical requirement to vote "tactically".

If PR came in, I might vote Green. But the Liberal manifesto is largely in line with my politics and I do like Clegg and Cable.

Cameron is bloody awful, and Labour are no better than the Tories these days imho.

Thanks again all.

For years I have been "saving" for my pension with Equitable Life. When they mismanaged all the money that ordinary people like me had paid in the Ombudsman ordered that we be given compensation. The government has been fighting this instead of doing the right thing.People are dying while they wait for justice to be done.It would seem that our only hope is with the Lib Dems who promise to correct this disgraceful scandal. Vince Cable in particular has been vociferous as well as impressing me in the debate a couple of weeks ago.

ThatVikRinA22 · 17/04/2010 13:58

i was adamant i wasnt voting at all.

but twice now, when ive done those website things that you click on the policies you like and it tells you who to vote for, the lib dem policies have been my preference (you dont know who your clicking on - the idea is you look at the policies, click on your preferences and it tells you at the end who you should vote for)

so i think if i do decide to vote it will be lib dem.

they seem to advocate a fairer society. take away the loopholes for the very rich and the banks, re distribute the wealth a bit, do away with outdated ideas and reform parliament, i like their ideas.

ThatVikRinA22 · 17/04/2010 13:59

oh ive also just watched the debate. NC did very well.

Curiousmama · 18/04/2010 14:27

Vote Clegg get Brown.

alicatte · 20/04/2010 15:29

or Clegg AND Brown; or maybe Clegg and Cameron - would it be so bad?

WebDude · 20/04/2010 16:07

No, alicatte, esp if it moved us to proportional representation (and I suspect that would be requirement not to be ignored).

Curiousmama · 20/04/2010 21:26

funny our local labout candidate is saying vote lib get the torys so it's just another threat to yet again stop people supposedly 'wasting' their vote yet anyone with any intelligence knows more seats is more power.

Anyway, I put my posters in the window today and put the brightest one on the side next to the very busy shop we have next door so it can't be missed

Curiousmama · 20/04/2010 21:28

meant labour not labout
