Conservative Party affirmative action for female candidates

Any thoughts on the following:

Wow, I'm amazed that CCHQ has instituted a quota system for the selection lists - I had no idea. Good on them. The grassroots will hate it but are willing (as Labour grassroots were 12 years ago) to put up with absolutely anything so long as they get elected again.

I hope it translates into more women MPs for the Conservatives.
