Both Burnham and Streeting have launched their pitches for PM

Burnham says, if elected, the UK will build more houses and he will "fix politics".

Streeting says as PM the UK will seek to rejoin the EU.

AIBU to think this completely abnormal? We have a PM and there isn't even an official leadership contest at the moment.

Are we just going to waste the next four months with this?

If Burnham becomes makerfield MP he will Win against streeting.

Good - he's much more left wing than Streeting and Starmer.

He'll be good for the economy, good for LGBTQIA+ rights and good for housebuilding.

But bad for democracy.

He's got to be elected as an actual MP first. And if last week's results were anything to go by, its looking slim. If he isn't then it will be the biggest own goal ever for Labour.

Or they could spend the next four months actually... doing something? Like working together to fix things?!

They are both self-serving tw*ts, wish they would pipe down and do the jobs they were elected for. Keir is doing a difficult job in face of hostile media. As a country we do not need this, I just want to hear about what is happening and actually there's a lot to be positive about, signs of economic growth, a closer relationship with Europe, keeping us out of an illegal war.

Streeting seem less popular than Starmer so I doubt he will get anywhere

Edited

He's 1/2 (very strong) favourite to win his seat
