Curious whether this is being reported anywhere in the British press. I haven't been able to find anything but haven't searched extensively.

What in earth are they thinking and can you imagine how they would react if the situations were reversed?

Am I the only person on the planet not on insta 😂

boulevardofbrokendreamss · 29/01/2026 16:28

I’m not clicking but insta would not be trusted news source.

ThePenguinIsDrunk · 29/01/2026 16:37

It's a french news account which I've generally found to be accurate. I have found some English language articles now but not many.
I'm more interested in the thought processes of these people who think it's ok to go to a foreign country to a foreign country to 'protest the invasion' 🤔 and the lack of reporting of their actions over here.

I’m not on Instagram, but I definitely read about this somewhere in the media, can’t remember where 🤔 But you’re right it’s not been widely reported. Maybe that’s good in a way, don’t give them any publicity in case it encourages others.

For decades the extreme far right has been populated by bozos only with the advent of SM do we hear about their antics/stupidity.

Playingvideogames · 29/01/2026 17:37

Are these the people waiting on the beaches to pop the boats etc?

Can’t say I care, so long as they don’t physically harm anybody. I don’t want anyone coming here on a small boat.

Insta is like the DM and Guardian. Never accurate. 🤷‍♀️

It's called Hugo Décrypte and runs short news (france-based) stories that are accurate ime 🤷‍♀️. As I said in my later post there is some English coverage (bbc) but it's scant.

The true horror of these groups is hidden, secretive well organised and have hijacked social media with lies and hate.

What worries me is that it's working

They've been at it for decades ,it was stickers with po.box numbers ,paper sales so the message and it's always the same didn't have the reach that SM has.
And yes the hard of thinking for themselves are falling for it.

Unfortunately these polarised groups have only one aim is that is to disagree with anything that isn't aligned with there extreme view of the world.

Unfortunately there are politicians that are exploiting these huge rifts. One of them is Farage. He shows his face whenever there is anything remotely controversial that his supporters will back.

Jim Radcliffe made a comment about immigration and how it's akin to colonisation. I agreed with a lot of what he was saying but then out pops Farage...again his aim to exploit this the disconnect. The ban on trail hunting again where two extremely opposing sides but in the middle the aim to stop hunts breaking the law by exploiting a loop hole. Before you say Im taking sides I also don't agree with Kiers response either. This is a discussion and we need to resolve the issue urgently.

Because of these huge rifts we now have people cutting down trees as an act of vandalism because they appose the green agenda, the poisoning of wild rare birds of prey and animals because they don't like the animal welfare bill, demonstrations now have opposing groups and the police struggle to keep the peace.

At what point are we going to take a deep breath and actually sit round a table and talk about what is right and wrong, what is better for everyone and how do we get there without making life so difficult that it results in this situation.

The far right have done a very good job of exploiting these huge rifts and as a result they are gaining momentum. This is happening all across Europe and America is fueling it.
