The same way that millions of people supported Boris and the Conservatives despite it being proven they were totally corrupt, right up until Boris lied about having a party and that was a step too far for them. Because they tapped into something populist, and also, “it’s the economy, stupid”.

Trump has been very effective with his “fake news” line. A lot of his supporters just do not believe any of it. But also, he promised he would make things better for those who were struggling. It doesn’t matter what he personally had done, that’s what they wanted to hear. There are incredible few incumbent governments who have kept power post Covid/world inflation problem.

I have been banging the drum (against) Trump since 2016 everywhere I possibly can. To see all that info in one place is very useful, thank you.

I agree, @Whitehorses67, on both counts: It merits a genuine revolt/revolution but I don't expect it.

The only realistic faint hope is that it may become a money/economics issue, as we lose tourism money and consumer costs skyrocket due to tariffs, which in turn could turn into a re-election issue for senators. I've learned that when America has had truly disturbing crises, that's the only thing that finally turned the tables. What finally got Richard Nixon out of the White House was when senators started to realize that constituents might vote them out of office.

I prefer Harrison Ford, by the way.

Forgive me, but I never quite understood the fuss about the Boris party thing. It's nowhere near the level of level of lies and hypocrisy with Trump. Also, at least Boris was smart. On top of all Trump's corruption, his ignorance is an embarrassment.

I'm sick of hearing about it. I would love one day in which Epstein and all associated with him were not mentioned at all.
