Karoline Leavitt am I wrong to love her bluntness 😆?

I don’t really know much about her (going on an evening google hunt) but listening to her speech earlier and how she handled the press I really like her confidence/bluntness to some of the questions answered.

No flip flopping with her answers like our UK politicians.

What’s everyone’s thoughts on her? Is she well liked?

She may give the appearance of being calm and controlled when responding to journalists and speaking to the press, but it's clear to see how she's allowing herself to be controlled by the administration, and is beginning to look increasingly uncomfortable as she spouts the lies every day.

Except that it isn’t. At all. If it’s exciting to watch her berate journalists she doesn’t like or condescend those who ask legitimate journalistic questions then yeah okay.

You can talk fast and be articulate while at the same time spewing the same garbage time and time again: That isn’t clever. That also isn’t what the job of the press secretary is for.

She reminds me of a very inexperienced person in business who is just the parrot of the misogynist running the show and gets ahead because she does so with conviction.

She isn’t clever or exciting. And I despair at those who truly think this to be true.

Sadly yes, you are wrong 😂. She isn't blunt - she is downright rude. Just listen to her when someone dares to ask a question she hasn't already been tipped off about. She is definitely her master's voice.

She's rude and patronising.

All she is doing is saying what the Trump administration wants her to say. It's embarrassing and I often wonder how she'll feel looking back in a few years time.

The main thing to know about her is that she lies. As a mouthpiece for Trump, she's obliged to lie. Any decent American despises her.

Her supposed confident/bluntness is just a weapon against journalists seeking truthful answers.

She works for the American people, not for trump. But appears to have overlooked that.

But she lies. And she's rude, unkind and truly horrible on occasion. I think you need to do more research before simply admiring her for one characteristic

She lies and obfuscates, she is part of a terrible cult seemingly determined to destroy their own country, cannot begin to comprehend why anyone would admire her.

This is exactly what makes this kind of politics attractive to stupid people. It’s easy to communicate when you aren’t restricted by the truth and there are no consequences (yet) to your actions.

I don't admire her lying and rudeness, but I do admire the confidence she exudes. she is a very good speaker.

Shes an awful communicator- on the basis she doesn’t actually answer any questions with any substance or explain anything. Just parrots Trumps’s inane BS about how it’ll all work out and the entire world has been screwing them for years etc. what we need from a press secretary is to actually provide context, colour and explanations so that the electorate (and rest of world) can get behind the initiatives- otherwise the expectation is to just blindly accept when Trump says “it’s gonna be a beautiful thing”… well okay, but what the hell does that actually mean or look like? How will the uS overcome the hurdles in the meantime? That’s what she should be answering with confidence and clarity. The fact she just insults media that ask difficult questions and never actually answers the question shows she is neither clever nor a good communicator IMO.

Her confidence is , of course, impressive but I find her more of a puppet than an independent thinker. I wonder where her scruples would kick in. Will she genuinely say anything he tells her to? The Canada and Greenland stuff, we had a laugh about. But Trump could be truly dangerous. Where is her line?

She really isn't. She learns lines, and she spouts them. She's not a good speaker because she doesn't tell the truth.

Surely that is her job though - to act as spokesperson for the president and say what the Trump administration want her to say. If she starts going off piste with an alternative view, she won't last very long in the job.

You are falling for the age old trick of populism, it's easy to for her while the audience is chosen and under complete control. Any real journalist has been barred from the press briefings and been replaced by unqualified influencers and bedroom broadcasters.

This is what you are cheering, the degradation of democracy and education. None of this is being sent to congress, everything is a controlled executive order.

America has trampled on its allies and you cheer, it's blamed the Ukraine for the war and you cheer, deported people who legally had the right to stay and you cheer, wages a trade war and you cheer despite the cost to normal people. I struggle with people like you because you are hell bent on burning everything decent for an ideology.

I wouldn't call her a good speaker. She sticks like glue to her script and pre-prepared answers and almost never goes off piste, because she can't.

I suspect if she did deviate from the script she would stutter and run into trouble.

shes thick as mince and just a mouthpiece. Dont care how qualified she is on paper , the fact she’s prepared to regurgitate Trumps nuts policies says it all for me.
