So in addition to what he's doing and saying in the USA now he expects the rest of the world to fall in to line too. He expects people to enable far right groups to 'speak their truth'.

I note he doesn't want others to speak their truth. First it was repro health. Then it was intersex and trans. Education too. All the medical advances.

Does he think the rest of the world will just fall in to line?

He's a nut and so is his sidekick or perhaps Trump is the sidekick.

For the 1st time ever I actually feel scared for the future of the world. Vance is worse.

It came about because religious nutters were being kept away from abortion clinics intimidating women using said facilities as in a buffer zone being applied to stop intimidation of women at a vulnerable time in their lives.

And yes, OP, I think you are right that Trump doesn't realise that only the American people elected him as their president. Part of the ideology of MAGA is establishing American political dominance over other nations.

I don't think Trump really wants to "rule" the world. Trump can't rule much of anything (including his own temper). He's too lazy. He has no ideas beyond what others feed him. Trump really just wants to own the world. It's Putin, I think, who really wants to rule the world.
But, yes, of course he thinks the rest of the world will fall in line, because that's been his experience for most of his life.

I doubt Vance is worse, because even though one could try arguing that Vance's ideas and plans are worse, he doesn't have Trump's capacity to bully.
I just read Vance's book, the autobiography Hillbilly Elegy, and the odd thing is, Vance's sad background should have resulted in his growing up to be a compassionate liberal Democrat, but it's just the opposite.

What I wonder is whether we'll ever know.
