On the phone to a relative in the USA who says that there was an incident at a rally that says Trump has been hurt? Anyone got any news?

There are pictures available now and he was injured. Not seriously though. But I think it would be accurate to say he came very close to death today and had had one huge lucky escape.

Call him Hitler reborn for four years straight, repeatedly say democracy will end if he wins, that he will build political camps to lock up his opponents and this that there will be no more America if he wins, what did they think would br the result?
Ironically if he survives to November they have almost certainly just handed him the election.

Megan Kelly is reporting that last month Biden was recorded saying let's put a bulls eye on him. He may not have meant it literally but can you imagine what the media would be saying had Trump said that, then Biden was shot?

Not just Trump, the free world just dodged a bullet. An inch from having his head blow off in front of millions, America may very well have plunged into a civil war. The result of that with Russia, China, Iran and NK chomping at the bit doesn't bare thinking about.

Part of me still can't help but think dammit, an inch further over and he'd be gone.

But then he'd basically be beatified by the loony element of the US public and the cult would grow even stronger.

According to Trump, the press are "the enemy of the people"; a crowd should march on the Capitol to have an insurrection to "save democracy" by refusing to count votes; Trump literally has a PAC called "Save America" ...

But it's certainly very Trumpian to accuse others of precisely the thing he's doing himself.

But yes, I do believe that many, many people (including myself) ARE better people than Trump.
