I don't know who to vote for ...

Totally politically homeless.

I believe the threats to the environment are a real danger to the next generation but I can't vote Green. Had a 'discussion' on my own doorstep with the Green candidate who looked at me pityingly when I stated my opinion on transwomen in women's prisons, crooning 'but they're not male people ...' like a hypnotist.

I believe in workers' rights and protecting the NHS, but I can't vote Labour because of its mysogyny.

I believe in protecting women and children's rights from the transcult. The Tories are the only ones who appear to be talking sense on that but ... obviously not.

I believe in supporting the arts, education, pro-Europe etc etc etc.

But who the hell can I VOTE for??

So you're letting the climate crisis slide out of view because you have an issue with 1% of people wanting to change gender?

JFDIYOLO · 26/06/2024 09:32

@notanothernana Labour have pledged billions to green initiatives.

And my concerns are in fact for the 51% of the population whose right to sex specific space is endangered, to children and young people's health and future, AND for a safe dignified life for trans people. I think this is is all possible.

Note - I don't like, trust or believe ANY of them! This is all hypothetical based on the pickme vibe they're all chucking out. What they actually DO will be interesting to watch.

But I liked the quote about the bus not going exactly where you want but if you get on you'll at least be heading in a direction you want. So I'm getting on the red one.

I've voted already. We'd already booked a holiday for next week so we have applied for Postal Voting for this election only.

Will miss being at home on election night though.

Vote for the MP that represents your constituency the best - you’re voting locally not nationally

How can you know who that is though?

I am vehement in my Gender critiacal Stan e but I am also not an idiot . First and foremost is getting this bunch of grifters out. So that means voting about and then lobbying my MP that a man has a penis and a woman a uterus.. but THAT really isn't the issue right now !!,,

I honestly want to scream at the women on here who are genuinely planning to vote for a right wing nut job party because they’re pandering to your GC lines (and dog whistling to all the bigots) I’m honestly not sure whether you’re idiots who can’t see you’re being manipulated, or just prejudiced and have finally found a marginalised group to hang it on. But it’s fucking scary.

I've seen women say they'll vote for Reform on women's rights. Reform.

BadeballSkihipto · 27/06/2024 20:24

Right on.

I don't understand it either.

Bit Brexit taught me that some people are strongly affected by slogans to the extent that they choose them over demonstrable reality.

I'm a little GC but I hope I have too much self respect to allow myself to be manipulated by people mouthing slogans in bad faith.
