Does anyone have respect for this police action

After reading this link about a grandmother brought to court for breaking a box of eggs, what does everyone think about our police?

Clearly they're too busy investigating not crime hate incidents to attend such trivial crime scenes as burglaries.

But we can all be reassured no-one can break someone else's eggs without facing the full wrath of the law.

Thank goodness we have at least one sane magistrate in this country.

The police are thugs in uniform and I've thought that for a long time. I've got no respect for them or their authority.

They police at the invitation of the general public but they way they behave you would think they are there to project political and corporate power. In Nottingham there was a chap evicted from his home....the man had terminal cancer and couldn't keep up with the mortgage.... 100s of local people turned up to reject the bailiffs including myself.... within hours an army of riot police, dogs, mounted police and even armed officers responded so the bank got it's deed done....that changed my view of things instantly.

I don't know the details of the case but no doubt they dropped a box of eggs and refused to pay ....the police as usual simply and mindlessly following orders from the super market.
