How might things have been different if Major had won the 1997 election?

I was only in my teens at the time and not really interested or engaged with politics, but I am interested, as one thing I have noticed is that one thing leads to another and so on.

So had the conservatives won the 97 election, how do you think the country might look today? I don’t know myself - just pondering here.
