My local councillors won't reply to my emails

I sent an email at the beginning of the summer to the two local labour councillors of my ward. It was regarding the lack of provisions in my area to deal with noise complaints (the police no longer respond to noise complaints here, and the council only send someone to investigate during business hours).

I never received a reply, just an automated response stating they are very busy as they also work part time.

Almost 3 months later, I followed up the email and tried tweeting them (very politely).

Still nothing.

I could go and seek them out in person but honestly I'm really annoyed at their complacency and laziness. Especially as one of their social media pages is about their commitment to helping tackle antisocial behaviour in the area.

You could contact your MP.

I'm a big believer in letters, formal letters.

A councillor is one guy with access to a small amount of support from one admin worker shared among a number of other people.
MP's have a staff of 3 to 5 people working on their stuff full time.

What do you want them to do? They will get a lot of emails that are just opinions.

You could tweet publicly the fact you are trying to contact them and @ them and their local party.

Also get in touch with whoever is the active opposition, they might pick up the issue.

But be aware councillors get paid fuck all and get constant emails about things they can't do anything about. Are your local councillors in the ruling group or opposition?

One of them eventually replied - basically just blaming the Tories.

They should reply and they could try and do something about it by e.g. contacting the council for a reply on your behalf. They sound a bit crap tbh. Try your MP and say contacting your Cllr didn't help.

Try telling that to all my local useless overpaid MPs and fat cat councillors including the Telford and Wrekin council leader Shaun Davies I despise this fat smug cunt .
