Royal titles and American politics

If Meghan wants to be involved with American politics, shouldn't both she and Prince Harry renounce all UK titles, patronages and privileges?

I really don't think it's a good idea for the UK or its monarchy to have any such connection with the USA and its relations with other nations.

NB: This is not about being pro or anti either the monarchy or Megan and Harry.

Meghan is not a British citizen, she's an American citizen. She can say what she likes about American politics.
The British Royal Family titled her fully knowing about her citizenship. That's not on her, it's on them.

This is news to me. In what way does Meghan want to be involved in American politics?
