No way!? But he's really old. Is it dementia?

L8Bloomer · 04/08/2020 21:13

ah, I"ve just googled. Wow.

He'll be giving Ponce Andrew ideas.

No, it’s an alleged huge bribery scandal.

Ponce Andrew Grin

He was involved in a controversial rail project with SA and some possibly money laundering via Swiss banks.

JC was the anointed successor to the fascist dictator Franco.
He quietly and peacefully guided Spain to democracy within 3 or so yrs, instead of trying to perpetuate the Franco system.
Even in the 1990s there were still deep divisions between the people whose parents or grandparents had fought on different sides in the civil war.
But the country transitioned peacefully without opening all the old wounds, JC could take a lot of credit for that.
Or so I thought.

And now this. I know no one is perfect, but... I dunno what to think. JC abdicated. And now he's legged it(!)
I suppose I thought better of his underlying character.
