In summary, the manifesto insisted that he had a clear plan for dealing with social care problems. He said on record that "we will fix the crisis in social care once and for all with a clear plan we have prepared.”

Having been elected, he refuses to offer any long-term solution, and instead waffles on about maybe/ sometime/ never reaching consensus with the other parties. They've been promising a social care green paper since 2017, and we have yet to see it.

The reality, of course, is that he simply doesn't care and never had any plan. I wish Conservative voters could explain why this is acceptable.

I expect you'll find they refuse to explain anything and simply respond, if at all, the way the PM does - nah nah big majority. That's basically the answer.

They knew he was lying even when he was saying it
