I’m not an American however some of his policies were excellent:
Made it more transparent for hospital patients to see exactly how much their bill would be, including the discounted rate the hospital is willing to accept from the patient.
Unemployment was at record lows, Americans were earning more money under Trump.
Harmonised relations in the Middle East with Israel. For the first time ever, Israel is recognised by the UAE and other Middle Eastern nations.
He recognises Taiwan as an independent nation and Taiwan praised his hard stance on against China and support Taiwan independence (thankfully Biden is continuing the trend).
His stimulus package was quite good. Biden’s in comparison isn’t much better.
Overall I didn’t like him. Extremely polarising, overestimated his ability as a president and would let the nation break into a civil war. I personally wouldn’t vote for him if I were American.
I can see how he won in 2016 - an outsider who could drain the swamp and a fresh face in politics. The US was getting tired of the same ole politicians. Trump offered a new alternative for many Americans and promised to put the US first and bring back jobs from China (which he did, some anyway).
