Would you be happy for Teresa May as our PM and why?

I get the impression from people I talk to that she is the preferred option for PM. I don't know much about her to be honest, so if she is your preferred candidate, why?

She has had five years as Home Secretary and has had a lot of dealings with the EU. She is known to be attentive to detail and refuses to be rushed into anything until she decides it is the correct thing to do. She has a backbone of steel. The German Press have referred to her as the British Merkal. She refuses to be rushed into instigating Brexit until she has a clear plan of action set out. Compare her with Leadsom, with a political care of five years, only junior ministerial posts and known only for her appearance on a debating tv programme. Her manner showed a cultivated reassurance like any sales man which is probably the result of her questionable banking career. Her aim would be to dive straight into an exit. The EU would make mincemeat of her.

She's standing for the job and is not Leadsom.

I don't like her politics but agree she has balls ( ovaries?)of steel!

And since all the flamboyant but weak men have run away maybe she is what is needed right now?

She's the best option but I disagree with many of her politics ( human rights!). I think she will be fairly sensible over the EU, no rash decisions.

She's terrifying. But tory voters seem to go for that sort of thing.

She'll be our next prime minister by default, but whether Britain has the appetite for a re-run of (child snatcher) Maggie Thatcher only time will tell after the next GE.

She's tough and that's what we need at the moment.

Definitely think she'll get us out of the EU without too much egg on our face.

She's not another Eton educated 'old boy'.

I like her campaign speech for about 2 minutes then I read the article in the independent cross referencing her vision for the country with her record on voting - she completely contradicts herself - she has either clearly had a radical change of heart or she's lying through her teeth. I hope it's the former but she's a Tory and we've been here before with all that One Nation bollocks.

They all do it, they all use exactly the same spin because it is probably all written by the same wonks that are shared by both parties.

Both parties probably have to pay the Establishment for the use of the same wonks out of party funds and member contributions.
