I may have to spoil my voting paper...

I have been researching my choices locally. I have three choices - all of whom I cannot bring myself to vote for. Two from parties I fundamentally object to. One for a party I would vote for, but I strongly object to his personal history/behaviour and views.

I have voted in every single election (including local, council, and parish council!). I actually feel quite gutted.

there may be independent candidates or smaller parties who haven't declared themselves yet?

That's what I'm hoping. Can't believe we've only got three choices!

we usually end up with quite a big list on the ballot paper, and not all of them will have leafleted or canvassed us.

I don't think the declaration of candidates has shut yet.

You could also look at the candidates as individuals. For example I'm not a Tory, but could vote for my conservative as she is a very very good MP, and works hard for the constituency.

Maybe, unfortunately, you're not just voting for an MP, you're helping to vote for a Parliamentary majority.

So while your MP may do good work, the Tories may enact legislation (if elected) which is contrary to you, or your MPs values.

We really need a reform of the voting system.

Crazy situation really. I've decided I'm going to vote for the party, not the individual. I shall just avoid him if he knocks on my door. Grin
