Seems like the old guard of the Republican party don't like the way things are going. Disgusting, and this has barely been reported on by any of the mainstream news sources in the US or here in Britain. Libertarianism is the future and it scares both the traditional right and the left to bits.

There's nothing about this on Politico (which is my fav source for US politics). I must admit I'd like to see a large 3rd party in the States but I dread to think about the impact it would have on the electoral and legislative processes.

Wasn't clear in post. I'd love to see the TP become a party and participate in federal elections.

I would too. It would split the vote where the Republicans and concerned thus resulting in a Democrat landslide, both for the White House and for Congress. Maybe we'll both get lucky and get what we wish for.
