Cameron and the arms dealers

I have tried to understand why Cameron felt the need to go on his tour with the arms dealers.........I haven't been able to find a decent recent. Other than money. And for me that is really not enough considering the consequences.

I could understand him 'turning a blind eye' to what the arms companies are up to - as every govt does to a point - but to actually go and help them sell............displays such bad judgement. Again.

Can anyone else justify what he has been up to?

I find it surreal.

You might also like to look at this link which shows that the previous administration did much the same. It's done because it's an immensely profitable business.

I agree that considering the circumstances, it is pretty distasteful. The defence/arms industry is highly profitable and there is great potential in it as an exportable industry but it does seem wrong.

The problem is that all governments have been in the pockets of the arms industry, the Banks and News International.

Easy to see why. "Yes Minister/top civil servant we have a space on our Board of Directors waiting for you"

David Cameron defends selling arms to democratically challenged governments with rubbish human rights records because it promotes British economic growth.

So that's all right, then.

He appears to be following the well trodden track of other administrations: Blair, Saudi and dropped fraud enquiry

So it's all right for everyone then Confused.
