Authority women and smiling.

I learn a lot about womens thing from BBC s Womans Hour.

Is the following true?

Women smile more socially than me. (thats true)

But now we have a lot of women in AUTHORITY
positions.... It is said women are told NOT
to smile a lot to underlings.

I have been to a lot of courts; and JPs and judges dont smile much

Perhaps authority is by definition stern

Not sure that JPs and judges have a whole lot to smile about professionally.People would think it odd if they were grinning away while listening to their cases, wouldn't they?

yes they would. But humour always creeps in

Its a sort of law of nature. Something odd often seems to happen at funerals.

No one gets easier laughs than a judge in court...believe me
