Big report on cyber bullying saying 1 in 3 children are bullied."

well, the l in 3 is incredible; nevertheless there is a serious problem.
Facebook gets mentioned a lot.

In schools...the Heads often denied they had a problem. But it was not believed.

1 in 3 is totaly credible - speaking as the mother of a child that was severely bullied.

Heads commonly deny there is a problem - beacuse they have no means whatsoever of tackling bullying.

You even see tragic cases in the Pres where children have killed themselves citing bullying as the reson, and the Head of their school says 'Bullying - what bullying?. There'sno bullying in my school'.

Pathetic and long overdue as a serious issue to be tackled.

And something parents can help to tackle by monitoring their childrens web use better. We've been quite horrified by some of the posts on DSD 'friends' FB pages - interestingly none of them had an adult family member listed as a friend. Alot of the kids at DSD's school have FB accounts and their parents don't even know.
