This has become a bit of a cliche in recent times (and incorrectly attributed to Nelson Mandela), but if you really read what it is saying, it makes so much sense.

Here's a biblical one...

Avoid getting into debt, except the debt of mutual love. If you love your fellow men you have carried out your obligations. i have had a tough year, and am was falling apart on the inside, and yet looked like the same old me on the outside....i try to remember that no one knows just what goes on "behind closed doors".
