Hi all

Dh and I have been asked to be godparents to a friend's little boy, yay! There are to be quite a few godparents but I think that we (or I) am the most religious so I would like to get our godson something properly Christian but also something he'll really appreciate as he grows older. Has anyone got any suggestions??

I have ordered the birth one of these. A baptism one would be nice.

this bible

is a great translation, accessible for children, and has the whole bible rather than just selected stories.

I can also recommend the version that PandaG recommended - my two both have copies, and I use it myself when I'm struggling with a difficult section .

Or I can recommend here, which I suggested on another, similar thread:

My DCs have the colourful crosses from Mary's link in their rooms, they are lovely.

Thanks all! I realise a bit after I posted that this must be a perennial question.

I really like the Bible, thanks, and the groovy crosses. The pendant is lovely as well but a little too steep...
