Please don't mess about with ouija board.
I personally strongly believe there is something truly dodgey about it.
First tried it when I was 15, my cousin's idea. There were three of us - her, muself and my sister. I will not go into details but what started as innocent fun quickly turned to some spooky spectacle, lights and taps turning on by themselves, objects flying off shelves. It was preceeded by whoever was talking to us threatening stabbing and other macabre stuff.
I know, I know, sounds very made up but cross my heart, over 20 years later and I keep thinking it over and over and cannot get my head round it how we could have imagined it. The worst part for me was after we ran away from the house to my grandma's flat just round the corner and she said in a very stoical matter of fact voice ' You called up ghosts, didn't you ? '
Second time , about two years later, I have done it again, carried away one evening on a school trip. Felt safe in numbers, there were about seven of us.
To start with ,again , it was quite innocent. We were asking questiones like how many of us would fail a maths test, our future boyfriends' names, etc. Suddenly, the tone changed and ' the ghost' became shockingly foul mouthed and again talking macabre stuff, like a baby being murder with an axe by his mother in the cellar of the house we were staying in( sorry if too awful but this is what I remember most ), evil things. We were all very shocked and frightened and I do not believe at all that any of us was faking, moving the saucer ( it was a home made board ) by herself, the way it was moving, it was not normal.
You will think how on earth and why did I dabble in this once more, I don't know, really don't have an answer. It was at a summer camp and all I remember is that there was a girl whose father recently passed away from heart attack, we called up his spirit and the girl went totally hysterical. Actually still feel guilty about this one, not that I faked her dad , I didn't, but I instigated the seance.
By the way, I do not believe it was her dad answering at all.
It's because I now truly believe you do conjure up spirits but only the evil ones, that may appear friendly at first but soon reveal their true nature.
Haven't touched the board since my teen years and learned soon after that calling up departed spirits is solemnly forbidden by the Bible, you open the door to some unknown dangerous world, the least that can happen you can be deceived, the worst probably losing your mind. There is lots of stories on the net of other people's experiences and some are truly terrifying, mine are a walk in the park in comparison.
Now, I have no way of proving to you that it's not all made up. It happened to me, that's what I experienced, up to you to believe it or you can try rationalize it.
But basically, you asked for opinion and muy message to you is AVOID !!!
