I was at the childrens hospital today with my dd. She's fine, just having some treatment for clicky hips. Whilst I was there I overheard a lady on the phone, saying one of the saddest things I've ever heard. She said:

"They think he's going to die today so I think I'll need you tonight"

It was utterly heartbreaking. Some jiggly-jangley Xmas music was playing in the background and this lady and the other lady with her were in the pits of despair.

I just wanted to say somewhere that I really felt for them, losing a child at Christmas, so so sad. They've been in my thoughts all day and I've shed heartfelt tears for them.

How utterly dreadful I can't believe the sadness they're going through.

WIll say a prayer for them tonight.

I have been there myself. Just think that the parents will never know that there is someone unconnected to them who is thinking of them. Thank you for sharing.

Thank you for that message. May the Lord bless and comfort them.

God, give them strength and comfort so utterly heartbreaking

Oh dear god. Will be thinking of you and your compassion, and them and their grief, and their little angel.
How unutterably sad.
