My darling 18 yr old cousin is starting chemotherapy next week, following a long operation to remove a football sized tumor.

She is being incredibly brave and we are all being as up-beat and positive as possible.

It is possible that this chemo is her only chance of treatment.

Please could you remember her in your thoughts and prayers over the coming weeks and months.

Thank you.

Will pray for her.

Why don't you come onto the prayer thread? Many ladies eagar to pray for others there, and show support.

carocaro · 05/12/2009 20:32

Will pray for her. x

Littlefish · 06/12/2009 00:01

Thank you Melted and CaroCaro.

Melted - my faith is a rather shaky thing at present. A bit rusty, if you see what I mean. Where is the prayer thread? Maybe it's time to start again...

In this topic. Have a look. It is only ever a few down.

The ladies can provide help if you ask, eg advice, words for you, general comfort. They are a great bunch, hope to see you there. x

It is always time to start again, and He is always eager for His children to return to Him.

Littlefish, what a hard thing for your cousin and the whole family to go through. I hope the treatment is successful and wish her the best of luck.

Oh sweetheart, how awful for you all and her especially. 18 {sad}. Thinking lots about you - like you I am pretty lapsed in the prayer dept but will certainly try.

You know where I am if you want me xxxx

Littlefish · 06/12/2009 16:57

Thank you cathcat and Sassy.

It's truly awful Sassy - I spoke to her dad last night. He is being very business like about it, but I know that he is being torn apart by this. He's like my brother, in fact, I'm closer to him than to my brother, but I don't know how to help him. I just send him regular texts to let him know that I'm thinking of him (and her, of course).

Chemo starts tomorrow.

Melted - you never know, you might see me there.

Littlefish I dont know you or your cousin but in times like this I dont think it matters. I am not religous but I like to think our loved ones are looking after us. Her loved ones who have departed are surely looking after her right now.

God bless you all

xxx

Littlefish · 07/12/2009 23:14

Thank you justsue - that's a lovely thought.
