I ask this every so often

I have been away for a while and, having returned, I see a load of new names ....

So - who believes and who doesn't ?

Im not sure,i like to think that there's someone out there looking over us,well more than one!I dont know whether this means i believe or not.

normannomates · 23/06/2005 21:56

Well I would like to thunk so but haven't really had much evidence really (none in fact) Read Diana Cooper's book on Angels which was interesting but have not been able to call on them or summon them

fostermum · 24/06/2005 07:39

i think some thing guides and looks over us yes but where its and angel/departed love one im not sure, but several times when ive been very scared i.e when i had major heart op ive felt as if some one has just wrapped there arms around me and i feel so much better

ChaCha · 24/06/2005 08:19

halo!!

Can't make my mind up about this one. I do believe we have guardians/guides but if they are actually angels or not, I don't know.

Anyone heard 'The Pink Dress'? A nice little tale about an angel.

suzywong · 24/06/2005 09:46

No I don't belive in Angels

too many people en masse in the world suffering atrocities and hardship for it to be believable

I do think there is someone watching over us and guiding us but not too sure what it is. I went to a talk given by Diana Cooper once (I think it was her, I can't remember now but the name rings a bell) it was fascinating and when she was calling up an angel I truely felt like there was someone standing behind me with there hand on my left shoulder, I felt very secure and loved.
TBH the whole 'supernatural'thing scares the pants off me though although I realise that angels are very safe. I lived in a haunted house for a while as a teenager and so many unaccountable and scary things happened that I moved out - I met the bunch of big rugby playing guys who had lived in the house before us and they too had problems and had moved because of it. I was also told many many years ago that I am very open to the spirts and their world but it really just scares me so much I just cry (strange reaction I know but the slightest scary thing sets me off)
Back to the question though, I'm tempted to say yes and would be interested in learning more about it - I think.

I do believe....but not in the sense of big wings...etc. I think Angels exist within us and all around us....Have you ever met someone that may of said the slightest of comments....but that one comment made you change your whole outlook on life??? I think they are angels. Have you ever been scared and then a stranger has just looked at you and smiled making you feel all warm? They are angels.

crystaltips · 24/06/2005 10:51

Where can I learn more about all this ?

Just read the Pink Dress on the other thread SG - WOW! I always hope that there IS somebody there for me .... and though I HOPE that there is ... I need the proof ( cynical I know )

Some say that Angels leave white feathers to prove they have been around!!!

I can't believe how many threads there are today on my favourite subject - spirituality.

I am getting dizzy running from thread to thread

crystaltips - try Mystic Familiar - good site for questions on this sort of subject.

SaintGeorge · 24/06/2005 11:12

But be prepared to see the Pink Dress on there since that's where I nicked it from

It was my mum who posted it though so I can get away with it.
