I go to a Spiritualist's Church and we often have workshops, suppers etc.. Last night it was an American Indian drumming workshop with supper. A friend and myself did the catering, I did an authentic American Indian vegetarian (in fact vegan) stew which went down really well Everyone was asking for the recipe so I passed it on today with my modifications. I did lots of jacket potatoes too and my friend did the cold buffet.
The drumming was fantastic and so interesting. I took ds2 with me and he loved it, wants a drum now. They cost a lot of money though but his dad is in the US at the moment so I texted him to ask if he can get hold of one? He can give him it for Christmas if he does. Another friend took her older son, he's highly functioning autistic and he also loved it. He was off home to get out his neglected drum and rainstick
I can't wait for the next one. Ds1 can come too he wasn't well this time round.

Are you up North Curiousmama?

I keep telling myself that I have to go to the spiritualist church near me. However I haven't passed my driving test yet and that would make it so much easier to get to (development circle is a half seven and I don't fancy travelling to + from on the bus on my own)

Yes am up north dippydino. Have you been to any workshops or demonstrations?

Nah I am a bit shy! I want to develop my gift though. I get a bit sheepish about it and want to run away. Must get over that!

A workshop would be good, that's how I started. Which is your nearest Church?

Wakefield. I think it's near the city centre.
