This story has touched me and I think we should send blessings to the family and ask for peace for this woman as she moves on to the next stage of her journey.

Please remember her in your rituals and devotions and ask that women, whatever their circumstances, are appreciated in this world.

am more of the buddhist persausion but will certainly send metta to this woman in my meditation tonight and (as you suggest) more broadly that women in general are appreciated in this world and that they manage to see a way forward no matter how seemingly awful their situation
