Readings. (not those in church, more the psychic kind).....what is the etiquette?

I am going to my first reading next week, and have never ever been to one.
I am going to her house.
How does it work?
I tend to chat loads when I'm nervous, but don't want to get verbal diarrhoea, so a bit of an idea what to expect would be very helpful.

All you need to do is sit there quietly. A good medium/psychic shouldn't need anything to go off so don't give anything away. She/he might ask why you have come to them and what you are trying to get from it. Don't say 'I just want to be happy' because it annoys a lot of mediums/psychic people because everyone says it and they don't have the power to make you happy- only you do!

Thankyou, i was wondering how much if any to say, as i want it to come from them, rahter than from me.
I suppose I am looking for some family related things, so if asked that might be the thing to suggest
I already know no-one else can make me happy apart from me
