A friend of mine has invited me to her daughters first holy communion celebration.

I am thinking it is appropriate to buy the daughter a gift but hat sort of thing should I buy her?

Normally people give money, but if you'd rather not, a book token or nice book would be good.

Ok - Thank you. Will give book token I think. Will also get something small for her younger brother.

I normally buy book tokens.

Yes - that sounds like me! I just wasn't sure as this is the first FHC I have been to!
Been to many Baptisms/Christenings etc.

I wouldn't give money but a book token is a lovely idea.
