I feel a strong need to DO something to lift a bit of a funk.

I feel as though there's a funk over us these last few days. Nothing serious, just a feeling that I need to DO something about it.

The baby fell off the bed.
I smashed up my car.
A visiting friend fell and lost a tooth.
I can't touch anything without it slipping and spilling or breaking.
The bath overflowed and flooded.

I have a strong urge to do something to clean it out and start again. I have no idea what. I want to burn something, or cook something, or move something.

Does anyone know what I mean?

Can anyone suggest some sort of cleansing action so I can feel like we're starting again?

(It's not so much that I'm worried about a bit of bad luck, more that this particular run of bad luck gives me a strong feeling of some sort of funk that needs to be lifted).

I'd say just start thinking positively that good things are going to happen from now on. Don't dwell on the negative things as you are giving them energy. Being positive will draw good things to you.

Take each bad incident and make one little aspect of it better in some way:

Put cushions around the bed/move the bed
Take steps about the damage to the car
Send friend a postcard to commiserate
Replace/repair one of the broken things
Contact insurance about the flood damage on the floor.

That kind of thing.

There's probably no funk, but there's plenty of stress in having a series of bad things happen to you.
