Confirmation clothes?

DD being confirmed in May. What do girls wear for service? When DS was done service was midweek evening termtime and he just wore school uniform (no girls were done at same time) but this service is on Sunday morning so DD wants new "frock" for occasion. Is it usual to wear white or doesn't it matter?

Links to possible shops/suppliers would be appreciated.

Thank you!

I wore a dress from Fat Face. It was purple. I think its usually something smart, but I've never known a young person wear white. I know its traditional, but don't think it matters.

Thanks for this. I googled confirmation dress and got lots of first holy communion/confirmation dresses that looked like bridesmaids dresses - very sweet but DD is a normal teenager and I didn't think long sequinned floaty (although very pretty) dresses would suit a Sunday morning confirmation - it might look a bit out of place! Even if she would wear it once, can't imagine when she would wear it again!

My daughter was confirmed last May and she wore a really pretty paul blue silk dress from Top Shop. Luckily I help out with confirmation classes so knew what previous years had worn. Basically I'd day anything smart (like attending a wedding) and not too short or low cut! :0

She can wear anything she likes.

Our teenagers usually wear something really simple, such as leggings and a teeshirt, as they tend to reaffirm their baptismal vows so need something that can get wet.

Thank you! She is not reaffirming baptismal vows, so I feel a shopping trip coming on [hmm}
