I am so proud of her

She walked there (phoned me to say she arrived) asked if it was OK that she was by herself, then walked home (again phoning to say she was leaving)

We have been a bit busy recently & she was obviously missing it

I thought so too

It is hard letting her have independence - but what a lovely use of it

Off she went (all dressed up ) with strict instructions not to dawdle & mess around

my parents were atheists but I started going to church myself at about 12 and continued till I was 16 or 17. It made me feel very grown up. Though I don't attend now I'm very grateful that mum and dad let me get on with it.

I went alone from when I was about seven. (I grew up on the Isle of Wight, and was only a five min walk). I loved the responsibility I had, and continued until i was 13. I did find it hard that my parents didn't share my faith, and left until I was 17. I now work for a church.
