ds is off to a mosque on Monday. He wants to know what he should/should not do/say so he doesn't offend. Can anyone help please?

Hi, I guess the one thing he needs to do is to take off his shoes before going inside, but I'm sure the people he's with would remind him of that? Also, in Islam, modesty in dressing applies to men as well as women so he needs to make sure that from his navel to his knee is covered. I can't think of anything he would say to offend, apart of course from obscenities (sp?), which I'm sure he wouldn't do! HTH [GRIN]

Thanks. He knows to wear trousers, take his shoes off and he has to wear a hat.

hi, he doesn't have to wear a hat. As long as he doesn't use foul language he should be fine.

If you're still around Scrooged how did his trip go? What did he think of the mosque?

He's going tomorrow. He doesn't swear so I think he'll be OK.

ds's version (may not be the teachers though) was that she told him he asked the best questions. He was impressed with the comfy mats and the size of the mosque. He's not said anything else apart from to mock the children who asked if they sold beefburgers!

Thanks for all your replies. He did have to wear a hat and I've had no comments from the teacher so I think he was OK. I'll find out eventually though.
