how much do christening ceromonies cost?

we want to get our son christened but how much does it cost roughly for the church bit?

it is free, but they do suggest you donate something to the church, as much as you can offord

it should be a donation. i wouldn't bother if your not a church goer - why not do a naming ceremony instead? if you are however hope the day goes well.

we want to have our children christened, but don't know whether the god parents need to have been christened already?
