a better person than when I went in. Not better than anyone else, just better than the me of 1 hour before.

Hasn't always been so, but with a creche for my toddler, I can sit and concentrate. So thanks to everyone who volunteers for these things (I'm on the rota too).

that's lovely, bluecow.

Creche is not my ministry, but have been on the rota when I have had creche-aged children. It is such a valuable thing to do, and I am glad that we have a great bunch of creche helpers in our church, long after their own children have moved on.

Our church creche policy is to not ask parents to be involved unless they want to. We recognise how important it is for parents to get 'fed' in church. I know when I was a SAHM having an opportunity to get intellectual was very important to me, both on Sundays and midweek in women's bible studies (also creche provided).
