I could do with all the help I can get! Sorry to ask people I don't know, but I really need help.

I have been sacked from my job - a long long story but only because I complained about the fact they hadn't paid me for 9 weeks (actually I complained a lot!). I really want my job back, and my students really need me, as do my colleagues, but it is the subject of a grievance investigation now and is all a bit nasty. Please can you pray really hard for God to be sovereign in this? I really want to get back to my job, but I think it literally will only be as a result of divine intervention and I could really do with a miracle and a tangible feeling of God looking out for me right now.

So sorry to hear this (DH has grievance with his ex-employers and is also job hunting).

Hi not quite - feeling really low - still no job and feeling really lost without it. Where is God in all this? I know it's a cliche, but that's how I feel.

How difficult for you! Do come over to the Christian prayer thread and let off steam there. It's incredibly difficult to remember that God's timing can sometimes be very different to our own, and that He can use difficult times to our good if we give them to Him too. Praying for patience for you, and for trust that God can use this situation for you - and for justice too! It sounds as if you had a raw deal at work, if you hadn't been paid for 9 weeks!

Have you read 'The Heavenly Man' by Brother Yun? I am rereading it at the moment, and find it very, very reassuring in its message - though a bit scary too! Yun had to go through things that hopefully we won't ever have to face.
