Hi, are there any witches out there?

I am hoping to look into Dianic Wicca, I am very interested in the Divine Feminine, goddesses etc

I would like to connect to any female focused witches, for general chat, guidance etc

Happy to chat. My mum and my nan both followed Dianic Wicca. I dont specifically as I have made my own path but it is largely Goddess focused.

Do you have a particular goddess you follow?

I am particularly drawn to both isis, (i have a beautiful tattoo of her) probably not particularly pagan, although I know that there were cults who followed/worshipped her right through to the roman times, and to Hecate. I really do feel drawn to the moon goddess imagery and feel I can really resonate with maiden/mother/crone too.

I am very very new to it it all. But I think have always been drawn to witchy things, all my life. A friend of mine has a contact who was primarily flowing Dianic Wicca, so we are hoping to see her soon!

How do you incorporate the goddess into your life?

I've started fairly small, with looking into Scottish pagan lore etc. I am using some very basic blessings in my wedding, and I am yet to create an alter. But I feel that will happen organically as I go along.

I'm a Greco-Roman pagan and came to it from witchcraft. The classic work of Dianic Witchcraft is The Holy Book of Women's Mysteries by Z Budapest and this list is good too Goodreads booklist of Dianic Witchcraft
Isis was a hugely popular goddess in the Roman Empire and I know plenty of Roman pagans today who worship her and non-Roman ones too. And Hecate, though she doesn't have the form maiden, woman, crone.
Since you love moon imagery, you should get a half moon amulet called a lunula or lunnitsa it was worn by women across the Roman Empire, plus later by pagan Viking and Slavic women. I wear one and love it. They're easy to find on etsy or pagan shops. I hope this is helpful to you

I belong to a big group called Nova Roma it's devoted to Roman culture, history, religion,reenactment. If you go to a reenactment all the rituals are real. Many pagans belong. We research historical Roman religion and practice it. It's quite easy as there is so much material available. Basically we have a little altar at home that looks like a mini temple, with statues of the particular goddesses and gods we worship and offerings we give them, like wine, fruit, that kind of thing. I worship Magna Mater, the great mother, Juno Regina, Carmenta, particularly. But you can worship any goddesses you like. And there is so much material on Greco-Roman witchcraft. I love divination so that's my speciality.
Of course you can also be a modern neo-pagan and join groups like Z Budapest's Temple of Diana or the Fellowship of Isis or a local coven. It's up to you. If you need to know more just ask .

But Im excited. My pal was laughing that ive picked right before my wedding to start embracing my my inner witch... 🤣 x

Im a 3rd degree Alexandrian priestess and have seen many single sex covens over the years. Im in my 60s.
I dont do single sex Wicca. I feel the balance is all wrong.
Wicca relies on male and female energies as reflected in nature.
All of the gay covens I know if male have a priest and a priestess and so do the female ones.
There are a couple of women only groups round here and they do not resonate with me at all and one of them in particular has become very toxic and is leaking members like a sieve.
Balance is essential as we are basically a fertility cult. That's the whole point of Wicca.
That's my opinion. I dont tell other people what to do. They will find out for themselves.

I would say try both and see how you feel.

I just saw today is the Nemoralia! What an excellent omen.
It was a great 3 day ancient pan-Italian celebration on the Ides of August to Diana of Nemi. And the 1st day is devoted to Hecate. Diana is the moon and Hecate is her name in the underworld. People would bring their dogs to be blessed.
Here is a good article on it, as it was a famous festival and many poets wrote about it. So we know what happened.

The Ides are from August 13-15th but the original Roman calendar was lunar. And the Ides mark the full moon. So fellow witches, wiccans, neo-pagans celebrate on the August full moon , which is August 28th.
