I had a religious dream and I'm not religious.
I dreamt I was talking to a woman and she was telling me that she was at the crucifixion.
It wasn't a scary dream just vivid and memorable.
Does it have any significance?

Nope. Last night I dreamt that I was at a party. I was not at a party.

BillyButlerTheRightTrackNsoul · 09/05/2026 04:32

Was I there 😁

Absolutely not.

I had a dream I was a Greggs sausage roll. There is no higher meaning it's just random stuff that happens in your head whilst you sleep.

RedTagAlan · 09/05/2026 04:35

Probably a news article you saw, or a program/ film.

Maybe a news clip about the IDF soldier and the Jesus statute ?

Justmerach · 09/05/2026 14:36

I don't rule out that it could be something that you are holding back on in your subconscious mind. The spirit may put out feelers to draw some people to the path of Christanity.

What spirit ?

Are you talking demons here ?

I am talking about your own spirit. I am not talking about demons. This may help. You have own human spirit and an element in all humans that can communicate with God and they send your spirit something for you.

That’s a diagram of something made up.

people dream of driving a car even though in real life they’ve never even thought of learning to drive.. is it Honda sending out feelers to make more sales?

So what is your advice to the OP ?

Mine would be avoid eating cheese before bed.

It depends what that they want and are interested in. May be keep an open mind if interested in a religion at all.

The OP said they were not religious.

I suspect too, that the OP can't now remember the dream. Happens to me too. Have a real vivid dream that unsettles me. But a few hours later it is gone. In fact, sometimes I think I should write it down as an experiment. To see if what I wrote reminds me of the dream a few days later. But I forget.

It's just the brain firing randomly during sleep.

I do find avoiding cheese at night is good though.

BillyButlerTheRightTrackNsoul · 09/05/2026 16:58

Given that psychosis often spirals from ungrounded beliefs in the paranormal , I’d strongly recommend not opening the door to false salience and other worldly fictions.

PotteringPondering · 09/05/2026 18:37

Most people here are saying no, of course the dream has no significance.

An alternative take:

  1. Dreams can be the mind sorting thoughts from the day, or dramatising suppressed anxieties and fascinations. Maybe part of you is interested in faith, in a way you haven't admitted to yourself. That's fine: feel free to explore it. At very least it might lead to interesting conversations with a friend who has faith.

  2. In the Bible, dreams are often a way God speaks to people. Some would say they still are.

In other words, it might have significance – if you're not automatically slamming the door on it having significance.

BillyButlerTheRightTrackNsoul · 09/05/2026 18:46

@PotteringPondering thanks for the reply I'd like to keep an open mind on this one.
I have some very bizarre and frightening dreams that are vivid and I discount but this did feel different.
