A Very Weird Question About Christianity.

I'm really not sure how to put this in words as I'm aware how this comes across and I'm ready to believe this is just me so if anyone replies, go easy on me, I'm just trying to talk about it

Has anyone else felt something strange in the atmosphere, like you're being called or you've been called by god? or to put it another way, a spike in spiritual awareness in the ether?

This happened to me about 3 weeks ago and it's been so amazing. The stress ball i carried in my chest for as long as I can remember has gone, the intrusive thoughts have gone, I'm filled with a peace now and that peace has given me a certain kind of confidence and I'm so greatful for it. I've got more energy too.

I think (I'm almost certain) I've been called, not for any specific reason I think, but it's happened. As far as I can work out the only thing asked of me in return is to lose a bit of weight and get fitter, which I'm doing with relatively ease due to the peace inside me.

I get doubts that I'm just imagining all of this, hence this post, but I think that's just the scared part of me.

If you've been called, answer it.

Thanks.

That's lovely your feeling so good inside 😊 whatever anyone thinks this is real to you and its making you feel great. I recommend reading & studying your Bible to see what God has in store for you and would like from you . Best thing I ever did. Enjoy the journey x

Sounds like you have experienced God's grace.

It is a very real thing.

Thank you, Smurf.

I'm actually reading the bible for the first time. I was raised a Christian and went to Sunday school, etc, but despite knowing most the famous parts of it's content, I've never read it.

I've actually had to laugh out loud on occasion recently, I've talked to god or thought about something in my head and I've been supplied with an answer almost immediately, literally "wow" moments.

I didn't know that happened.

I'm so thankful.

Without wanting to sound over the top, apart from the love of and from my son, it's the realest thing I've ever experienced.

That's so lovely to hear 🥰 I was also raised a Christian for a bit up to age 6 till my mum decided to take a long break. I always had a longing for God in my life. At Age 16 my mum said “ you’re a big girl now so do what you like “ so off I went to my local kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses. Started studying the Bible for 4 years and decided I knew where I belonged and I'm 30 years old now, happily married to my husband of 10 years and have our first baby on the way. So many blessings along the way I Dont feel like I deserve Jehovah God’s grace.
Wish you all the best on this journey x

Yes I have. I was worried about a health matter, very worried, it was on my mind constantly. One day I was lost in thought and I heard a man's voice say All's well. At least I think I heard it, or I knew the voice had spoken even if I hadn't heard it (if that makes sense). I immediately felt a sense of relief, it was as though someone had hugged me warmly. I felt so much better.
Also- 5 years I was on a trip to Iona and went into the abbey chapel. I was alone and I felt like God was with me. I know he was there. I felt like I had been singled out, it was wonderful. I'd never felt that in a church before.

It's a thing and it happens. I wouldn't overthink it OP at this stage. Just let yourself embrace the peace, calm and love.

There's loads of people who share your experience.
