Don't know if people have already seen this.. but if you haven't, when you get to the page, then click on 'view presentation'

i like that, realy deep and yet so simple.

Harrysmom · 19/01/2005 16:49

That made me cry !!

melsy · 31/01/2005 13:21

made me cry too

The music is very poignant and meaningful to me, Its the soundtrack to Forest Gump . We went to NY many years ago and my dh proposed to me, when there I bought this soundtrack and we listened to it in the room every evening going to sleep. The week we got back I saw my grandfather and within a few days he died unexpeectedly. I really felt his presence today as I had been talking of him to a friend today. It was as if he was leading me to this thread today for some messages to remind me of things.

Thankyou sleepyjess xx see you in the magic land.

melsy · 31/01/2005 13:24

Is it connected with neale donald walcshe ?? I read many of his books some years ago and papillon started a thread a few months back on him.

SleepyJess · 31/01/2005 13:38

My pleasure Melsy xx xx I didn't realise it was the Forrest Gump music.. although it did sound familar to me. I don't think it's connected to NDW. I have read all his books too.. have you read any of the more recent stuff? My fave (probably, hard to say) is Moments Of Grace.. because it gives you hope. It's made up of different experiences of many people touched by God in some way (even if they didn't realise it at the time.)
I'm so glad that that your grandad 'used' this thread to remind you that he is still with you whenever you need him near.

I loved that clip and felt much better and comforted after watching it. Until I went to the website. What a shock to discover that you can BUY the CD, the calendar, the agenda, the this, the that... Is there no limit to people's greed? How can you spread peace and comfort in this treacherous and uncertain world to make a profit? Maybe I've got the wrong end of the stick; perhaps the money they make is given to charity or am I being hopelessly naïve?

galaxy · 31/01/2005 13:43

It does say on his website that it's a non-profit making organisation so presume the money from the sales, goes towards the work they do.

SleepyJess · 31/01/2005 13:45

I know what you're saying Sansouci... but we all got the benefits of the actual clip without paying penny didn't we? Don't focus on the commercial stuff.. just the comfort/positive stuff you get from uplifting moments.

Thanks for that sleepyJess made me feel a lot better.

fairyfly · 31/01/2005 14:05

I have tears streaming down my face

sansouci · 31/01/2005 14:06

Thank you, SleepyJess. It was just that I felt like someone had thrown cold water on me after having been soothed to sleep! Feeling a bit ratty today, I guess, and cynical. But you're right, it doesn't cost us anything to view it and it is incredibly comforting and soothing.

SleepyJess · 31/01/2005 14:08

Hi Sansouci and Fairyfly. I know how you feel FF.. I just watched it again... and was already feeling a bit fragile.

Sansouci, have you been into Bong Tree land or other similar places here on MN? I didn't think I could 'do' it.. but I can.. and it helps

tbh it makes me feel guilty as i am finding it incredibly difficult to forgive someone and i want to so much, just cant seem to
lovely though, linked it to my mum.

Bong tree land?

SleepyJess · 31/01/2005 14:19

Fairyfly... ((hugs))) Guilt-feelings are pants! Yes, Bong Tree land, or rather The Land Where The Bong Tree Grows.. or alternatively the Yurt Shop. Check all the recent threads from clicking on the main Spirituality.. etc.. heading. I lurked for a while before posting.. but it really helps so don't be too quick to dismiss it

Hope you feel better about stuff soon FF
