plusone I think that by owning up to it and realising what you've done, you're a long way on the road.

I don't believe in evil people. Just regular people who sometimes do bad things.

Are you OK?

plusone · 13/05/2008 22:31

yes i just wish i could change things.

God will forgive you, that is His business.

Can you forgive yourself? That is hard.

But acknowledging a fault is the first step.
I hope you can walk the path to peace with yourself.

Do you feel you need to make some form of atonement? This may help you.

believe that you deserve forgiveness - whatever for, and accept it. is often the hardest part to do keep believing that youve been forgiven.

Are you sorry for what you did? And do you accept that it was your own wrong choice?

Then admit that to yourself and to God, and you are forgiven.

If what happened has put you wrong with another person, then you also have to do what you can to right that - apologise to them, or do what you can to make amends.

It can be very hard to feel forgiven, and to forgive yourself, but often that's just something you have to take your time over, and understanding where you went wrong can help with that.

Quite often we don't realise that to God there are no 'big' sins and no 'little' sins. All sin is abhorrent to Him. God is absolutely and utterly perfect and cannot have sin around Him. So none of us have a chance because we are all sinful, None of us can claim to be perfect. Now, God knows that and has done something about it. He has sent Jesus to die for our sin, so that we can be free of our sin.
So in a way the answer to your question:"Does God forgive everybody?" is that He would want to forgive everybody, He would want to see everybody stand clean before Him, which we can do if we accept Jesus as our Rescuer, our Saviour.
I am very well aware that what I am saying here will call forth a lot of questions, but it is very basic Christian teaching, going on from what Jesus said:"I am the way and the truth and the life, nobody comes to the Father except through me." (John 14:6).
So, whatever it is that you have done, however horrible it is, yes, it can be forgiven, because God said so. "If we confess our sins, He is righteous amd will forgive our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness" (1 John 1:9) You may need some help with understanding all of this and if you can find some RL help that would be good.
Once you have gone through this bit about 'confessing you sin', you can then lay it down and believe that God has truly forgiven you and that you can forgive yourself as well.
Every blessing
