As a polytheist with pagan leanings (though I personally don't engage with the Greek pantheon myself) I thought it was nice that this happened - it's the first temple honouring Greek deities (Zeus and Pan) to have opened in 1700 years.

at least the greek gods were more noble than some of the more modern western religions

There were already two temples, one to Alexander the Great in Thessaloniki, which I visited , but this is a really beautiful temple and got a lot of publicity, which is great.
