I just watched it.
Glory to God for these men, my brothers and their endurance to the end.
It reminded me so much of Shadrach, Meshach and Abed-Nego who refused to bow to the idol (Daniel 3) and the countless martyrs throughout the ages who have accepted torture and death for their faith in Christ when all they had to do to escape was burn a pinch of incense to the Emperor or say the shahada.
They tortured and slaughtered “our great God and Saviour, Jesus Christ who gave Himself for us” (Titus 2)
Why wouldn’t they do the same to us?
“When He opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar the souls of those who had been slain for the word of God and for the testimony which they held. And they cried with a loud voice, saying, “How long, O Lord, holy and true, until You judge and avenge our blood on those who dwell on the earth?” Then a white robe was given to each of them; and it was said to them that they should rest a little while longer, until both the number of their fellow servants and their brethren, who would be killed as they were, was completed.”
Revelation 5 v 9-11
”And they overcame him (Satan) by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, and they did not love their lives to the death.”
Revelation 12 :11
