I mean it though, and you are truly a lovely lady, and if they can't see that, its their problem. Its very difficult if you find it difficult to make friends - but remember, when you DO make friends, they are usually GOOD friends.

Evening! Flying by to catch up. Sorry that I haven't got time to respond to prayer requests individually, but you are all in my thoughts and prayers.

God bless all.

amber32002 · 05/06/2008 07:19

SS, I've certainly experienced plenty of bullying in my life, sometimes from very unexpected sources who should know better. It hurts, and you deserve so much better than that. You're amongst friends here.

CaptainDippy · 05/06/2008 10:03

Morning! Glorious day here today! How is everyone doing?

OP posts:
CaptainCaveman · 05/06/2008 12:46

Much better here thanks! How are you CD?

Mary, thanks for that psalm, it was just what I needed to read as I have been feeling a little 'distant' as a Christain of late. Life just seems to be getting in the way of my relationship with God (and not in a bad way, but very definately time is flying). Thank you, this psalm has quietened me and made me think about God and our relationship .

Praying for you SS, things sounds hard at the moment. May God hold you close and comfort you.

PandaG · 05/06/2008 13:49

Hello all

love to you all xxx

CaptainDippy · 05/06/2008 14:03

I'm ok, just exhausted - needing a break - also our car broke down yesterday and needs A LOT of work So not great. Pants.

OP posts:
Swaliswan · 05/06/2008 20:05

Thank-you for all of your prayers. Today has been a bit better for me. I tried to stay busy today. DD had her 12 month jabs this morning and barely cried. This afternoon I made sure that we went to the toddler service at church. We met one of the other mums whose little one broke her arm yesterday morning Her husband was out tonight and she asked if I wanted to share tea time and bath time routine with her. At first I couldn't see how it could work then I thought that we might as well give it a go. She thought that I needed the company and she needed a hand to give her DD a bath. Well, it worked out beautifully and it felt like God gave me a friend when I desperately needed one. It helped my mood enormously and it means that I ate a proper dinner. I feel a little alone now that she has gone which is quite typical for me when DH is away and the evenings are long.

MaryBS · 05/06/2008 21:21

SS - praise God for that friend, and for a better day!

CCM - so glad the psalm helped. Somebody once told me that it was their fave psalm and why, and it is wonderful to revisit it every now and again

CD - so over your car problems, praying that a not too costly solution can be found. Any mechanics at your church????

I've just had a relaxing bath. I planned to do so much this evening, and it hasn't happened. I had an argument with a dear friend this morning, and although we've patched it up, it caused a great deal of pain on both sides , and left me feeling exhausted. Must get sorted for my retreat tomorrow evening, I am SOOOO looking forward to it!

NSFN - meant to ask, any news on that 8yo girl you knew, who is so ill? Also, how is DD?

Hi Panda! {waves}

mary the 8yo is home and seems to be doing ok atm.

dd is ok but a bit tearful this evening about soemthing that someone has said at school and she doesnt know if its true or not -someones told her he has lung cancer and might not be around next year, she is very upset but he has said things in past tht havent turned out to be true, so prayers for disernment for her.

Her shoulder has to be immobolised for another 2 weeks but it is confirmed tht she has same problem as her dad.

ss brill that God put tht friend in the right place at the right time.

oh yes ds tonight said 'Where is God? so Isay he's everywhere, he says is he in my sandle, i say no and he says 'see' in a rather sarcastic itold u so, and i so know that he's not everywhere and you've jsut proved it to me.

Then he went on to say i need a bath, i said no we're not going to have time this evening, so he says to his ds smell my feet, of course she said they stink, so he says see I told you i need a bath.

And just to make you smile dd came downstairs this morning on a day everyone decided to not wake up at some unearthly hour and her hands and half way up her arms were coloured in green felt, all over her bed, her tummy, her face, and guess wht it wont come off, she has had a bath, i've used cleanser, i've even tried a bit of nailvarnish remover and nothing is shifting it. Had to apologise to teacher they were in hysterics and its gone all round the staff room today that she looks like shrek. I think its going to take days to wear off.

Notquitegrownup · 06/06/2008 07:08

LOL NSFN. Try babywipes, if you still have any. They have a magic ingredient in which cleans things other things cannot reach,

Good mroning all.

MaryBS · 06/06/2008 08:32

Am off for work then my retreat, so God bless all... mobile will be off

Thx for the update NSFN, and ROFLMAO at your dd!

amber32002 · 06/06/2008 09:29

Lots of prayers for all.

Could do with a prayer for situation with son and his school. He had a big falling-out with a teacher yesterday and we have to find a way to solve it.

CaptainDippy · 06/06/2008 09:57

Praying for that situ amber. xx

So good that God provided you with a friend to share the load yesterday SS Keep going sweetie!!

Hoping you can resolve things with your friend Mary Praying you have a fantastic retreat xx

Praying for discernment for your older DD nsfn - it would be very very to find someone had been lying to her about something so serious. If there no way you could check it out with the school? I think I would. LOL @ your DD - the 1st thing my DD2 did when she walked into Pre-School this am was splattered bright orange paint in her hair Gotta love 'em

Hi CD

podglet · 06/06/2008 10:05

Hi all, popping by as I haven't really caught up this week. DS is now doing just 2 x 1/2 days a nursery so my hands are fuller!

CC & MJIM - other peoples pregnancies go SO quickly! CC, what a beautiful tanned bump you have glad all ok with you both.

SS - so glad you "found" a friend and had a better day yesterday.

CD - prayers for a non costly fix for the car. Hope you are ok today

Amber - prayers for the school situ. Very difficult I imagine.

All ok here, life with 2 under 2 is mad but happy!

CaptainDippy · 06/06/2008 10:32

Yes it is Podglet ; but it is worth it, trust me!

Hey NQGU!

You know what - I am just so very very tired and stressed at the moment - too much to do and worry about! Our car is going to cost a fortune to fix =-( I am just feeling weird because it is nearing the end of term and I am sad because K is going to school in Sept and all the mum's I've got friendly with at Pre-School will be moving on and none of K's little friends are going to school with her. I feel anxious about how life is going to go once she's at school in Sept, more so when she goes full-time in Jan 09. I know it is months away, but my heart really feels like it is breaking. End of an era and all that.

Do I sound crazy!!?

OP posts:
Roseylea · 06/06/2008 11:46

{{{{hugs}}}} CD. No you don't sound crazy. People matter, people are important and the thought of not being around people is not a small matter. I know someone who describes it as spiritual pain. Prayers for you.

CaptainDippy · 06/06/2008 12:08

Thank you Rosey How are you today??

OP posts:
Roseylea · 06/06/2008 12:55

Hi again CD! I am okay - still reeling after the news that our house needs to be rewired. My dad (wh ois a property develop) came round this morning and confirmed that yes it does need to be rewired - so lots of upheaval and more money than we currently have. Oh well, I'm trying not to be too down about it. The fact is that we can save up for it and make it safe for in the meantime.

It's just that there is sooooo much going on for us atm and I'm a bit overloaded emotionally.

On the upside have I told you about our wonderful wee guinea pigs? The are gorgeous little eating machines (they munch almost constantly) and the kids have fallen in love with them. Lovely!

Weegiemum · 06/06/2008 15:01

LADIES - Sorry have not been posting, have essay due on Tues, Exam on Thurs and another exam on following tues, adn essay due that day! Flip!

Also have submitted my application to do a masters in THeology next year! Waiting to hear.

Dd1 has an audition on Sat for the National Youth Choir of Scotland!! We are really proud of her but she is very nervous. Could you pray for her - that it wont be too stressful, and that she will accept the outcome, whatever it is (we wont hear until August!!)

Weegiemum · 06/06/2008 15:03

Rosey - we also have GPs. Zachariah and Benjamin (cos guineas need aristocratic names!!) known as Zack and Benny! They are a year old but we only got them about 8 weeks ago. They have been a real blessing for dd2 as she has to sit down so much with her hip condition. We LOVE guinea pigs!

ZipadiSuzy · 06/06/2008 15:31

CD - Aw feelings like that are so completely normal, I remember when my ds1 started school, I painted came home and painted the kitchen a discusting shade of green!

Twins also start school in sept, but full time straight away, they start visits in 2 weeks for 4 half days, thats it!

Prayers for all our endings and beginnings, lord make them all sunny and happy!
