proud mummy

notsofarnow · 02/06/2008 12:56

i want my two to ride their bikes without stabilisers but probably not a chance.

Back from dentist more antib's so thts two lots to take, and stronger pain killers might be available this afternoon - like i'm in pain NOW - what use is later on. Cried at dentist, docs and pharmacist. I feel like a complete numpty.

copingvquietly · 02/06/2008 13:28

ive a difficult meeting in the morning and would appreciate some prayer x

amber32002 · 02/06/2008 16:34

More prayers for people in pain, people wrestling small ill children, people facing difficult meetings and people trying to cope alone when they're bloomin' tired and lonely.

I'm ok-ish today, thanks to lovely hubby and spiritual director and many good church friends who've been horrified by yesterday's news. It's not about my new church, it's about a promise that was made to me by a senior church person about the bullying I went through in an old church. The person who made the promise broke it, and I think it means they didn't really care what happened to me or the others on the autistic spectrum in that church after all. I've now got to see if there's anything else that can be done, but I'm out of ideas and need prayer to know what to do.

Swaliswan · 02/06/2008 19:26

CVQ I'm praying for you. Would you like to e-mail me? Just in case you've misplaced my e-mail address from DO giving it to you, it is swaliswan at hotmail dot com.

I'd appreciate some more prayers if you don't mind. I had to come home from work an hour early as I was feeling faint and nauseas. I only just make it to my bathroom in time to be spectacularly sick. I'm waiting for DD to go to sleep before I toddle off to bed. I'm not sure whether to try and sort myself out ready for work in the morning or just go to bed. I think that I'm going to get some sleep and if I wake up in the night feeling OK, I can make sandwiches then.

Sooz I can't wait for DD to ride a bike without stabilisers. We could do with some practice on her ride on first though

NSFN how's the pain now?

CaptainCaveman · 02/06/2008 19:47

Just a quickie - not caught up with thread for a few days. Feeling rough and have got tracheitis, gp has prescribed antibiotics for me today so I'm praying they make me feel better soon.

Not sleeping well as every time I wake up to turn over (feeling huge at 29 weeks!) I start having a coughing fit that makes me sick. On top of cough and sore throat I also have the beginnings of a cold - that horrid feeling when the back of your nose/throat feels sore too. Prayers for a quick recovery MUCH appreciated.

Am now 29 weeks and baby is really well - measuring on the 90th centile whereas ds was on the 2nd! Got a scan at the 'small for gestational age' clinic next week - I think the cons will take one look at me and tell me to take a hike! Baby is also breech, in the same position ds was in. It has been like this since the 20 week scan and shows no signs of wanting to move elsewhere!!

Praying you are all ok and that God is holding you firm.

Sorry, thats a bit me, me, me!

Roseylea · 02/06/2008 20:42

V. quick one here. I've been reading and praing for you all...

Feeling low tonight. Dd had a dreadful allergic reaction today - by far the worst ever. It really scared me and I've been in in mummy coping mode and now that she's asleep in bed I feel like crying and crying...

CaptainDippy · 02/06/2008 20:48

OOOOH, no stabilisers Sooz - well done little DS My 4.5 YO DD can't even peddle yet, bless her (Think my cack-handed gene has well and truly infected the poor thing.)

Praying for meeting in the am CVQ honey - do stick with us. xx

Glad you have got good support round you, but to church situ. xx

CC your bump is MASSIVE - hurrah! Think they'll definitely to telling you to "take a hike" at the clinic

CaptainDippy · 02/06/2008 20:49

Oh Rosey - how frightening for you. You poor poor thing. Is DH around? Your DD is safe now sweetie, it is ok. xx

OP posts:
Roseylea · 02/06/2008 20:55

Thanks CD. I took her to the doctor and he checked her breathing, which was okay. Her eyes became completely puffed up and closed - she looked completely different to normal, and it scared her too, poor love. She is safe now, with a load of prednisolone sloshing around inside her! It was very scary and I can't help thinking what if she'd been at someone else's house? or school? It all happened so quickly...

amber32002 · 02/06/2008 21:12

Oh Rosey, what a shock for you.

Many more prayers for everyone

Roseylea · 03/06/2008 08:23

Could you pray for dd please? One of her eyes is back to normal but the other still is really swollen and shut. I'm keeping her off school today. I didn't get much sleep last night - this really affected me. And we've got a plumber and electrician coming today! Please prayfor dd and for me. thanks!

CaptainDippy · 03/06/2008 10:35

Oh rosey This is an anxious time for you; but I am sure if she had been with others then they would've reacted just fine. I know it is easy for me to say all this, but most people are pretty good in an important situation. She's your darling girl and you are worried for her; but she is ok now and she is safe. Praying her eye would heal. Treat yourselves today - go to the shops and get some yummy stuff and snuggle in front of her fave DVD xxxxxxxxxx

I was not with my parents when I had my 1st anaphalactic reaction and my friends parents phone an ambluance immediately, they were on the scene within 10mins and I was fine xx

Notquitegrownup · 03/06/2008 10:59

Rosey - Prayers for your dd allergic reaction, (to what)? tell me to mind my own business, well done going into mummy mode, you deserved to be upset later, don't be hard on yourself, natural reaction I'd have thought.

amber - prayers for a solution to your old church problem, may the lord show you which route to take.

ZipadiSuzy · 03/06/2008 12:29

CD - Hia, sorry x post, thats how long it takes me to do a bit of prayer typing.

Howz the concrete shed wired brushing going its raining awfully here in Notts, looks like we are going to get a soaking on the way to playgroup. Its my turn for crafts, we are doing bird feeders, in the form of Cheerios threaded on pipe cleaners, and springwatch pictures! Oh happy day!!!!!

ZipadiSuzy · 03/06/2008 12:34

Thoughts and prayers to Mary! on her relaxing holiday!

CaptainDippy · 03/06/2008 12:54

Idea for bird feeders sounds fab Sooz Wire brishing is going ok - pretty wet here thoguh so wasn't able to do any this am - what a shame!!

Off out now, "see" you later .........

OP posts:
Roseylea · 03/06/2008 13:38

Hello again!

Suze - the reaction was to (we think) hay in the guinea pigs' hutch. We sooooo hope it wasn't to the little piggies themselves - dd would be heartbroken to say goodbye to her first ever pet! I've been reading about how to minimise pet allergy reactions though, and there are some good damage limitation meaasures we can put in place (start with getting rid of hay as bedding, just use it in a special feeder that dd can't touch).

Adding my pryers for OJ and Steve.

And sorry to dominate the asking for prayers, but we need discernment! My BIL is an electrician and he's here today doing the electrics on our new kitchen...and it turns out that the whole house needs re-wiring [eek] and in his professional opinion we need to give serious thought to whether we love this house enough to stay here wit hthe level of work that needs doing. (He thinks this would be a good moment to move!) It'll be v. costly / time consuming to do all the work here. [eek] So help us Lord!

Swaliswan · 03/06/2008 14:15

CVQ how did it go this morning? Still praying for you.

CC my MIL is a midwife in the Derby area (for all her faults she is a good midwife even if she does go on a bit at times). She is also trained in medical acupuncture and is able to use moxibustion for turning breach babies. There aren't any needles involved just wafting a warm stick of herbs over your little toe. I know it doesn't sound very likely to work but you could give it a go and you could have a chat with her about other methods of turning breach babies if you would like me to pass on her details.

Amber how are you feeling today? Praying for healing of emotions for you and for the person who upset you to learn more about the autistic spectrum and how they are affecting you. I'd be really interested to know more about how AS affects you. Would you e-mail me? My address is in my previous post.

Rosey I'm not surprised that you felt like crying last night. Praying for your DD's eye to go down and for you both to have a calm day.

As for how things are going here, I was up on and off all night with D&V. I called my mum this morning and got her to give DD breakfast and get her to the childminder as I could barely stand up. I went back to bed and was woken up at 1pm by the childminder phoning to say that DD had just thrown up all of her lunch. She wanted to keep DD as she was now trying to get toys out and was chattering away The childminders DD was sick in the night aswell I'd appreciate your continued prayers that I manage to cope. Oh, and my mobile phone charger doesn't seem to be working which is rather inconvenient. I don't know what is wrong with it.

MaryBS · 03/06/2008 15:27

Hi

I AM back, after a lovely holiday, have read/prayed for people, but SO SO hectic here atm...

God's blessings on all

CaptainCaveman · 03/06/2008 15:56

Thanks for your prayers, I believe I do feel a bit better than yesterday. ss thats really kind of you to offer. I'm seeing my consultant next week so I plan to ask him if there is any physical reason why ds2 should also be breech (exactly the same position ds1 was in!). If there is no reason I will ask you for details of your mil, if thats ok?

Praying for you all, esp Rosey and dd, OJ and Steve & family and all who need extra special care, love and attention at this time.

am just off to pick ds up from nursery. Dh is away tonight so we will watch disney dvds and eat Angel Delight (choc flavour of course!) for tea. Yummmy.

CaptainCaveman · 03/06/2008 15:57

And welcome back Mary, hope you had a lovely holiday?
