CD - Hia!!!!!!

CC - Glad to have you back, writing eh???? um!!!!!!!! dunno!!!!!!!! I used to write children stories, they were called the Musicmakers, I wrote them when I was 15 so well over 30 years ago now! Did you want to write spritual things, maybe poems, or self help!!!! you sound really grounded and happy that maybe you could help others through their bad times, or maybe you could write about your little man's verbal funnies! he is so cute with what he comes out with. THE WORLD IS YOUR OYSTER, there that could be your title, could be about anything!

Right, School holidays, children getting restless and its raining - pooh!!!

ZipadiSuzy · 27/05/2008 09:53

iwillNOTletthisbeatme · 27/05/2008 10:08

im alright.today is another day.

Stripteasle · 27/05/2008 10:15

Hi there, I'm sorry if I'm about to stumble inappropriately onto a thread-

My sister died 2 years ago. I usually go into a local Abbey and light a candle and request a prayer for her children, my neice and nephews, who are now 27, 24 and 21.
She was an alcoholic and the impact on their lives of her alcoholism and death has been awful.
I'm carless at the time being, and can't get there, but just wanted to put thoughts out there for the ones she left behind, and for her too, and for others suffering from their active addictions and that they can realise that there are solutions to it.

Is that ok?-

mufti · 27/05/2008 10:24

it is ok
do you see your nieces and nephews ?
you can pray for her wherever you are, and for the rest of the family
come and "talk" anytime

ZipadiSuzy · 27/05/2008 10:27

Stripteasle & Iwill - my prayers for your situations! please god wrap these families in your care and show them strength for each day!

CaptainDippy · 27/05/2008 10:32

That is absolutely fine stripteasle So glad you felt you could come and post here. So about your sister, praying for you all as a family as you remember her at this time, esepcially her children. I myself have been a victim of addiction problems (my mum and dad, not me) so a lot of sympathy and sadness from this corner - I think CaptainCaveman who regularly posts on this thread will also appreciate "chatting" to you as her sis is currently in a poor way re: additction problems Sending prayers and >

Oh Iwill ....... Keep pressing on towards the light sweetheart. xx

Hi Sooooz! xx

Lots of prayers for everyone, and hello to people I haven't said hello to before.

I wish I understood politics, I really do. Could do with prayers for a very difficult situation for me to understand, to do with my church work. Can't say more than that, but I'm a bit today.

CaptainDippy · 27/05/2008 14:09

I wish I did too, amber

Prayers for a poorly little P here ...... went to take her to nursery, but ended up turning round and coming straight back home again as she vomitted everywhere Poor love. Sigh.

OP posts:
DutchOma · 27/05/2008 15:10

Stripteasle, welcome, glad to pray for your niece and nephews, glad you have contact with them.
So sad to hear that things are bad again for you Iwill, if at any time you want to chat send me an email on the address that's on my profile, then I can get back to you.
Prayers for P being a sicky baby, do you still manage to feed her Dippy or have you given up?
And praying for Amber and her politics, well probably not yours Amber but those in 'High office?'
Prayers also for OJ and Steve and the utterly disagreeable mil, who needs a total renewal of her heart, now, if there isn't a miracle to pray for, I don't know what is. .
But our God is a God of miracles so there...

iwillNOTletthisbeatme · 27/05/2008 15:11

ZipadiSuzy · 27/05/2008 15:24

CaptainDippy · 27/05/2008 19:02

OP posts:
CaptainCaveman · 27/05/2008 19:29

Praying for P CD, hope she is feeling much brighter soon! How's your job going?

Prayers too for OJ & Steve, and Iwill

Stripteasle so glad you posted on here - we will of course pray for your departed dsis and for her children. How for you all. As CD said, my dsis is also an alcoholic and despite having been hospitalised last year for detox she has slipped right back to drinking, probably worse than she was before. Her dd is 5.5 and out of the last 5 weeks has missed 4 weeks of school (dsis is either too drunk or too agrophobic to take her). I pray for my dsis and the many others like her that they can realise before it is too late that help is there and they can get well.
Dsis was told 2 years ago that she needs to stop drinking or she will die, and was told last summer that she has got some irreversible liver damage - but that it wasn't too late to stop.

Thanks for your thoughts sooz - I'm drawn towards writing about my illness and my journey to health, but also to inspire and help others. In addition I've always longed to write fiction ...... thinking of ways to combine the two!
