No but lots of my family members swear by him. My db tells me that the free downloads of his podcasts with Oprah are amazing.

I have bought the second book which is the one that the Oprah show did I think

The Power of Now is the first one (I am very anal about doing things in order!)

what do your family say?

My sister is a devotee and is a terribly spiritual and enlightened, funny and happy woman. My brother has just discovered him and thinks it is a life changing philosophy. My mother professes to be 'living in the now' but all of us realise that she is reading the words but not understanding them

Got it and started reading but haven't finished. So far, very good philosophy (although not new - see buddhism and City Dharma) Only gripe is that the writing is a little simplistic.

However, it is a basic concept, that whenever I remember to practise relieves stress and makes day to day (and min to min) living much easier and more enjoyable.

If you were asking is it worth buying, I want to say yes because it is definitely worth reading. However if you can borrow it, that would probably be enough.
